    Clark and Bell Funeral Home

    Established by John C. Clark Jr. elected in 1955 he was the first African American to serve on the Hartford City Council. The Clark and Bell Funeral Home is located in a house that was built in 1875 in the Greek Revival. The house has a three bay gable-front façade, six over six - sash. John C. Clark Jr. established a funeral home on the property in 1950s
