    Ebony Horse Women
    (African American Equestrian Group)

Ebony Horsewomen, Inc. (EHI), founded in 1984, is a 501(c)(3) non-profit community-service organization, developed and directed by African-American female equestrians, whose mission is to encourage and empower inner city youth toward positive and successful lives through the use of horses.  EHI was founded upon the knowledge and belief in the healing power that horses give to youth. Ebony Horsewomen has developed a unique array of programs that encourage and develop Hartford youth participants into productive and positive citizens and future leaders.
